Disassembly
Upon examination, your horn is taken apart and the body and keys are acid cleaned in the tank with precaution taken to not damage any existing lacquer or finish on the keys. All rods, keys, screws are unfrozen and cleaned as well. All existing oil and grease is taken off the horn and its parts.

Prep Work
Old adhesive is removed from all key cups. Key cups are flattened on a bench anvil. Tone holes are checked and filed and touched up to insure a flat pad seat surface. Rods are spun and straightened. All Posts are checked. Dents are taken out of the body, post, and neck.

Pads and Resonators
All pads are dry fit to match each individual key cup. Your choice of pad and resonator is used. We normally use Treated Red Pisoni Pro pads to insure the highest degree of seal and snap. Resonators are used depending on personal preference. We stock every possible style of resonator. All new corks and felts are shaped and cut to each individual key. Bumpers are color matched to the vintage and model of the horn.

Assembly
The horn is put together in the appropriate order. The pads are seated with a nice snap under the fingers and coverage even with a light touch. Keys are checked for lost motion and swedged for tight, reliable key action. Springs are balanced. Neck is swedged and fit to insure maximum response and vibration

Oil
The horn is checked again before adding heavy key weight oil to ensure smooth key action for years to come. All hinges are oiled. All rollers are oiled.

Final Play Test
The horn receives an extensive play test. Horn is tested, clamped overnight with seating clamps to insure the pad seat will last and then checked again in the morning for final tweaks before pick-up/shipment. A receipt is given with a repair warranty and one time COA adjustment included with the overhaul.
